Dr. Basil Mustafa
PhD, MEd (Oxon)

Dr. Basil Mustafa is the Nelson Mandela Fellow in Educational Studies at the Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies. Dr. Basil Mustafa was an Associate Tutor at the Department for Continuing Education, University of Oxford (1998-2008). He held an Associate Fellowship at the Saïd Business School, University of Oxford (2010-2012) where he participated as lecturer and coach in executive education. Dr Mustafa has been lecturing widely in Malaysia, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia on the impact of values-based leadership on corporate performance.

Dr. Basil Mustafa has special interest in e-learning and distance learning programmes. His taught courses at the Department for Continuing Education include ‘Islam in the Modern World’ and ‘Islam and the West’. He has contributed to the Leadership Development Programme of the Executive Education Centre, Saïd Business School. At Saïd Business School, he has coached leadership competency workshops for the Abu Dhabi Civil Service Department (2009-2011). Dr. Basil Mustafa has been a lecturer and coach on the Program for Advanced Leadership and Management, Madinah, Saudi Arabia, since 2012 and also for the Cranfield University Business School.

Dr. Basil Mustafa was invited in 2007 by the United States Department of State to take part in its International Visitor Leadership Program
